Keeping it short with a little reminder that I've always found helpful: No matter what you are working on or no matter what challenges arise, there is never an excuse or justification not to rejoice! We can feel gratitude, love, joy, and peace no matter what, because these qualities come from God. This is not about brushing feelings under the rug and ignoring them-- But it's about knowing that no matter what, there is a spiritual law of joy that's not dependent on human circumstances. This ability to rejoice is natural, its innate, and it's even demanded of us... "Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness." (Psalms 97:12) "This is the day the Lord hath made; Be glad, give thanks, rejoice; Stand in His presence, unafraid, In praise lift up your voice. All perfect gifts are from above, And all our blessings show The amplitude of God's dear love Which every heart may know."
